Maybe not, they came around the front, from the stage entrance, so they 
would have been within a 100 yeards from the club, and also when you 
have a Police spinner hovering and a major incident that close, you are 
bound to be drawn.

However, it could just be a random chance intersection between them.  He 
could have been quite simply out walking and came across them.  A plot 
issue like that does not need to be that tight, as it is neither 
improbable nor unexpected.

The alternative was to build and explain a meeting between them, but we 
don't need our hands holding to that extent, and it would have killed 
the pace of that part of the film to engineer a plausable meeting.
