I feel the need to answer. I am what might be termed a "partially big
fan" of Batman Begins. Let me explain. I really don't like the
"magical" introduction of powers to a superhero. Having just seen
"Superhero Movie", I can really laugh at how ridiculous it is to be
bitten by a genetically enhanced dragonfly and suddenly have superhero
powers (p.s. the film has lots of ***ual references, so be wary of
taking the young 'uns). Anyway, BB caught me up in the whole, "I am a
real guy and I'm gonna learn how to fight, I'm going to use technology
to enhance that, etc." Batman becomes real to me. Unlike the
previous comic-book versions. So, I love that, unconditionally.
Unfortunately, after he becomes Batman, the story goes a little
pear-shaped and kinda loses me, about which I am still rather upset as
despite my better judgment, I still had high expectations. Especially
with it being Christian Bale and all.
BUT, he has another chance to prove himself. This time though, (and
especially after having seen a large clip of the Joker), I am
reserving my expectations until I see it.
