I love Sherlock Holmes, but not really bothered about any of the other
stuff. I can watch Agatha Christie stuff, but it doesn't make me tingle
with
excitement. Never seen Chuck or Numb3rs, although the latter looks like
something I'd enjoy. Due South is ok, but a bit cheesy and formulaic.
Never
heard of Nero Wolfe.
If you're still going with the investigation thing here, I don't think
that's what does it for me. Although I do enjoy theorising and analysing
BR,
the primary appeal for me is something more basic than that. It's more
like
a piece of music that I can sit back and enjoy over and over again.
Obviously Vangelis is a key part in that, but it's the combination with
the
dystopian imagery and atmosphere that really makes it resonate with me.
