Not everything shown in IMAX theaters was shot in 70mm.  The feature
films like Harry Potter, 300, etc., are all either shot on 35 or
digitally and blown up to 70mm.  

A few years ago, Disney made "The Young Black Stallion" in 70mm, but it
wasn't a feature-length film, only 45 minutes long (in the U.S.).

So, yes, they still do shoot in 70mm (just not very often), and no,
going to an IMAX theater isn't a guarantee that you're going to see
something that originated in 70mm.
