Fair enough. I guess it's just two clues reinforcing eachother which is 
probably a lot closer than real life, rather than a simple linear trail.

I still think he would have probably been alright if he hadn't found the 
photos - he would have checked out the scale anyway. I'm not dissing the 
scene by any means, it's a classic, it's just that after watching the 
film so many times in quick succession (usually viewings of my favourite 
films are further apart), the actual information the scene imparts seems 
slightly redundant.

Not as redundant as some of the awful narration in the deleted scenes 
montage though. Jeez, that stuff was rank. :)
