Well I have both and while HD and BR are supposed to be the same, I see
a clear improvement with BR over HD.  So while I agree that you may not
see a real difference between upscaled DVD and HD, I asure you that
there is a difference there, and you see that difference on BR, but it
does come down to the material, and close ups of faces is a real acid
test.
