Of the following 80s animes, which ending do you consider the most
depressing?
Bubblegum Crisis 5: Kill the ***aroid, Save The World. (or city, in this
case)
Windaria: Nice reference to "The House Among The Thickets" at the end.
Megazone 23: Part 2: BD must've been pissed, he managed to save MZ23 with
his military coup, but it ends up getting destroyed anyway, and the
hippies/terrorists end up being the only survivors.
Gall Force 3: Not only do the two warring civilizations get wiped out, we
find out that the all-woman race is descended from the survivors of yet
another race that destroyed itself, and from what I've heard of Rhea Gall
Force, humanity destroys itself as well. It makes the end of Hinotori:Ho'o
(Phoenix:Karma) seem downright cheerful.
