Naruto. InuYasha is old news nowadays. The big new stuff is what-ever is 
currently running on Cartoon Network or the latest show being speedsubbed 
off of Japanese broadcast television.

Actually, a lot of the modern stuff isn't really aimed at an eight-year 
old, though I am not convinced that knowing that Moetan is aimed at an 
adult audience is a comforting thought. Ditto for Hidamari Sketch (boy did

that show ever leave a bad taste in my mouth after watching the first 
episode and finding out just who the target market was).


Gunsmith Cats Burst (the new edition) has the third volume out tomorrow,
if 
the Comic Book List has it correct, and your local comic book store gets 
their orders on time. I've liked the first two volumes so far.

One Piece is in fact targetted at the average eight-year old, but the
manga 
is very sharp. I like it a lot, but you have to get past the art.
