So what did you think of it, and all the similarities between it and
BGC?
Some of my favorite movies came out in the summer of 1982, along with
Bladerunner. For some of them, I can't decide if they're favorites
because they kept me sane (I was doing an intern****p in northern
Alabama), or because they really were good. Probably a bit of both.
Anyway, there was something really good to see just about every week.
I looked up release dates on IMDB, but it went this way:
Rocky III (May 28) was still in theaters, then Poltergeist and Star
Trek 2 came out the same week (June 4). Followed by ET the week after
that (June 11), as did with the truly awful Grease 2 (in which
Michelle Pfeiffer almost destroyed her acting career before it even
got started). The next week Firefox came out (June 18), followed by
Bladerunner (June 25). TRON rolled out in July (July 9), and then An
Officer and a Gentleman appeared in August (August 13).
As I said, some of my favorite movies, because they kept me sane.
Oh, the visual effects Oscar race was fun. The nominees were
Bladerunner, ET and Poltergeist. ET won, and I wish we knew the vote
count because I think it was probably close.
