I was playing Metroid Prime 3 the other day (thankfully I'd played through
BioShock first. I don't think I'd have been able to live with the control
scheme, which has now hopelessly become "old school" with the introduction
of a true "point and shoot" interface)
And it occurred to me: you know what the Metroid series really needs?
Samus needs a sidekick, a hacker who wears a pink version of the Varia
suit, and wanders around the various levels opening up doors and hacking
into security systems for the player.
And if you can manage to complete the game with 95%+, you can play as Nene
(er, the hacker) the second time through.
