Generally, unless a newsgroup has "binary" in the name, it accepts no
binary attachments. Why? On USENET newsgroups, there are binary and
non-binary text-only newsgroups. This dates back to the days when it
cost a fortune for dial-up and if you wanted to download a newsgroup,
you didn't want to pay for downloading pictures, warez, etc. if all
you wanted was to yack. Occasionally small binaries make it through
but they are extremely small, like v-cards.
