  On the whole, the economy is bad for everyone. While I agree that much
of our situation is a result of cor****ate greed and incompetence, a bill
has to be passed for the good of all of us.
  But it is not only the fat cor****ate executives with payouts of $1
million or more when their companies go bankrupt that are to be blame-
there are people buying homes with little money for a down payment that
should never have been approved for a mortgage that also added to the
crisis.
   We have an unusual situation- while the economy is bad for us, many
smart investors saw the stock market plunging as a sign to buy and there
were profits to be made in the stocks.
    For every person hurting by the economy, there are others who have
benefited. A robust stock market is always needed and is an outstanding
investment if you don't need funds for 20 years or more. Many of us-
myself included- that are heavily invested in stocks see this as a good
source for IRAs, 401 k plan and retirement planning. This system must be
saved, for the good of all of us.
   I go back to an old saying my father told me that is still true today-
never buy anything that you can't pay for immediately.  Marvin
