The new Skynyrd band is horrible...

by xchernayax@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Oct 4, 2005 at 07:18 AM

But these guys have more original members and sound much better! Their
singer is just great!

FANS CAN STILL GET THEIR SKYNYRD FIX
LIVE DVD WILL BE RECORDED

Nashville, TN (October 7, 2005) Right on the heels of
the announcement that Lynyrd Skynyrd is canceling
their national tour due to Johnny Van Zant's vocal
cord surgery; Storm Dog Entertainment would like to
remind fans not to despair. The SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL
BAND - featuring 4 pre-crash members of the legendary
1970's southern rock superband, Lynyrd Skynyrd - will
be performing at the Cannery Ballroom on Friday,
October 14.

The SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL BAND features Ed King
(co-author of Sweet Home Alabama, Saturday Night
Special and many other Skynyrd hits), Artimus Pyle,
JoJo Billingsley and Leslie Hawkins, all hand picked
by the late Ronnie Van Zant and all who contributed to
the sound of Lynyrd Skynyrd in the 70's.
Artimus Pyle and Leslie Hawkins both survived the
plane crash that killed frontman and band leader
Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines and back-up
singer Cassie Gaines. Ed King who authored several of
Skynyrd's most popular songs left the band two years
before the crash. Ed later rejoined the surviving
members of Lynyrd Skynyrd for the Tribute Tour but
left the band again in 1995 and took 10 years off from
music. Ed is now back with his friends playing all of
the great hits from the Ronnie Van Zant era of Lynyrd
Skynyrd. They sound like the original recordings
because they were that sound.

As if that isn't enough! The Saturday Night Special
Band will be recording their concert for a live DVD
with a portion of the proceeds being donated to UNOS
(www.unos.org). The United Network for Organ Sharing,
a nonprofit organization which coordinates US organ
transplant activities. Wear something memorable so you
can pick yourself out of the crowd.

Tickets are on sale now for $15 at the Cannery
Ballroom. There is no opening act. Saturday Night
Special will do one show only starting at 9:00, Friday
October 14.
